Jim Carroll Has Died

Jim Carroll, the punk rock poet has died of a heart attack at age 60 in New York. He wrote the Basketball Diaries about his adolescence. It starred Leonardo Di Caprio and Mark Wahlberg, if you need someone more famous to recognize who he is.

He also had a band, named unsurprisingly, The Jim Carroll Band. Their most well known song was People Who Died. Guess what it's about.

Say goodbye to an original and a artist.

Really? I rented that movie when I was like 12 because I was crushed out on Leo DiCaprio, saw all the horrible drug usage scenes and haven't seen it since. I hate needles. Didn't he blow some guy for money or something?
