Gisele Bundchen for Vogue...India



International supermodel and Leonardo DiCaprio's former girlfriend Gisele Bundchen stepped into stunning ensembles from India's leading designers, Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma, Anamika Khanna and Sabyasachi Mukherjee, for the September issue of Vogue India.

On the magazine cover, Gisele dons a crystal embellished tweed jacket by Balmain and a crystal embellished digital print bikini by Tarun Tahiliani.

It has been photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania.

"I like the combination of traditional Indian clothing with an edge -- and the fabrics and colours are beautiful," Gisele says.

lol It's so odd that someone like Gisele is still too ~edgy~ for some people to get. Even if she didn't have an amazing face and body, she's still extremely talented as a model.

that's what people don't get. Everyone has this image of what pretty is and it's the typical catalogue type. High Fashion is different, and there is a lot more to modelling...

There are a lot of people who ~get~ high fashion but find Gisele to be boring and/or overrated.

Nobody can deny that she's very good at what she does, though. She has had and continues to have an extremely impressive modeling career.

I love that saree. I'm Indian and have never worn one, so it always makes me giggle when I see Western stars wearing them.

You might laugh at this but I'm watching a brazilian soap opera right now that wsa taped in India. It's a trully baeutiful country, the weddings are unbelivable and I love the clothes.

I wore sarees only when I was really young. Once I grew up a little, I thought it looked too old-lady-like, so I only wore lenghas. I think I could pull off a saree now. I just need another cousin to get married so I can try it out, lol.

My mother made me wear one for a picture she was taking to send to my grandmother... I looked frightful. I'm not rail-thin like she is, and I'm shorter. I looked like I was drowning in silk.

My best friend is from Sri Lanka (I know they're different!) and she's Hindu and had a dance performance (the name slips me) where it was only her and traditional dancing and my friend and I loved looking at all the sarees everyone was wearing.
