Simpson angered some Native American groups when she told us earlier this week she wasn't an Indian giver -- after we asked her if she would take back a boat she bought ex-BF Tony Romo as a gift.
When we asked her about the comment last night outside of Katsuya in Hollywood, she told us, "I am Indian, alright?"
Her Indian name would be She Who Does Not Speak Good.

They all had to go around and say what their ethnicity was and EVERY FUCKING PERSON said their nationality, and also threw in "and also a little cherokee indian" It was so maddening. They were also 100% catholic, except one woman who was baptist.
Everyone I know who claims to be part Native American says that.
But that is one of my biggest pet peeves.
"Whatever, I'm still less white than you!"
I'm Indian (the REAL type of Indian), and I hate when people refer to Native Americas as Indians. Okay, we get it. Christopher Columbus thought it was India, but he was WRONG.
at last there's a definite destinction between Native and Indian in English, in German it's still "Indianer" for Native American and "Inder" for Indian
Also, I never understood how CC just went west and thought he'd hit India. There's another whole mess of land he'd hit before he'd just run into India.
We all laughed b/c our family wasn't even from Pocahontas' tribe!
She Who Does Not Speak Well.
If you're going to be clever, do it right.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
JUST IN CASE NO ONE TOLD YOU THAT. :D
