Neve Campbell effs up new Scream trilogy plans?

Neve Campbell, who played Sidney Prescott ("Sid") in the first three Scream films, has thrown a kink in the wheel of the forthcoming new trilogy. Writer Kevin Williamson updated his Twitter account with some disheartening news. "Trying to figure out a Sid-less scenario. She won't do it. This sucks," he writes.

While Neve was offered a cameo role, the new story was to follow a group of new teenagers. If Williamson's plan was to have Sidney be the new killer, we're far ahead of you buddy. That's dumb anyways. Courteney Cox and David Arquette are both still said to be returning.

Neve Campbell was my first girl-crush. She's so hot. She fucking sucks now though. All of her recent movies are SO STUPID.

And Scream again? Idk, they should just remake it, not do anything new with it. And not remake it anytime soon. The Scream generation have hardly grown up.

sadly i must agree, but i'm glad she does not any more scream movies, i would hate it when they fuck up the storyline of the first 3 movies (really LOVE the 1st one only) to make more films just because (more money)...i really hope this is going to bomb

Remakes aren't that bad if they wait 30+ years or so to do them (ie 12 Angry Men, Star Trek, Freaky Friday etc) but Scream came out like ten years ago. Wth. I know competition is fierce nowadays, but they can't really be THAT money hungry.

Take the time to look for talented writers, Hollywood. There's tons out there.
