Heather Graham was "disappointed" when she went to a strip club.
The actress learned to pole dance in preparation for her role as a stripper in 'The Hangover' and was astonished after seeing the less than impressive antics of her real-life counterparts.
She said: "I went to a strip club to prepare for the role but it was a big disappointment. I'd taken these classes on how to dance but if you go to a strip club, no-one's dancing. Everyone just stands there. The girls are all just on stage and it's all about lap dances."

so that's why that one stunk, i guess.
sad that she's estranged from her parents tho even if they are prissy about her doing movies like these
Even though Heather's parents didn't really agree with her career choice, her mother drove her to auditions and in her mid teens she landed a few commercials and a small, two episode appearance on the television show Growing Pains. She was even offered the lead role in Heathers, but was forced to turn it down because her parents didn't approve of the script's language. In 1988 though, Heather was cast in License to Drive (1988). This performance won her a nomination for best young actress at the Young Artist Awards. After the success of License to Drive, Heather moved away from home. She rebelled against her parents and Catholicism, claiming that the catholic church was “made up of close-minded men who believe a woman's sexuality is evil.” Heather soon became estranged from her parents. She later picked Hinduism her chosen faith.
from imdb: Has not spoken to her parents in two years because they disapprove of the movies she stars in.
