Miley Cyrus is charitable

Using her celebrity status to raise money for a good cause, Miley Cyrus was out for the 16th annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women on Saturday morning (May 9).

Held at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the "Hannah Montana" starlet was accompanied by her mother, Tish, while she offferedup the peace sign to photographers covering the charitable affair.

Also taking part in the days festivities were cancer survivor, Christina Applegate, as well as the lovely Jordana Brewster, among others.

The EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women, which is a 5K, happens to be "the largest fundraiser for women’s cancers and the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program is the leading beneficiary."

You guys, my best friends dad just died. They live across the street from me and have for all 20 years of my life. Their dad Jim was like a second dad to me and he had a heart attack and I watched as the oldest daughter gave him CPR. We all followed the ambulance to the er and watched them try to revive him but he died. This is seriously one of the saddest moments of my life and idk what to do. He was 54 and had 5 children and the mom is kind of not right in the head sometimes. It doesn't seem real and it felt like something out of a movie, I woke up to my parents running across the street and Jim's kids on their knees crying screaming help.

thank you both of you. I seriously sat there and cried with them for over 2 hours in the er. My family has offered them food, a place to sleep if they dont feel like staying at their house, and everything. They said thanks but no thanks to everything and I just feel like there is nothing else I can do but I guess give them time. It's so sad too because the two youngest are twins and their senior prom is next week and the girl is up for prom queen and they kept saying our dad isnt going to get to see us graduate and I lost it. But I'm just gonna go over there now and sit with them and have them cry it out and talk it out instead of holding it in. thank you everyone so much

omg that gave me chills since my bff and her family have lived right across the street all 20 yrs of my life too, I can't even imagine something so horrific...so sad, I'm so sorry I don't even know what to say :( <3

I can relate. Something similar happened to my best friend's dad when I was seven. Hugs and time are really good healers.

I really hope things get better for them in the long run, I know sometimes they never do =(.
