Although I love the bachelor when I have the time to follow it, ITA. It's sad that the only racially diverse dating shows include Flavor of Love and I love NY which intentionally reinforce stereotypes :((

im a white girl myself but i must say i've noticed that!! i'm so sick of all these "perfect" white bachelors & bachelorettes. why can't they cast an attractive black man or woman? i'd SO watch!

I'd even like to see some racial diversity in like the top five people vying to win, if not the Bachelor or Bachelorette themself. It seems like the minorities rarely make it past the first rose ceremony. It really bugs me. I know it's not all about looks but I've seen some fine guys on that show who didn't make it past the first rose ceremony and you have to wonder why some pretty mediocre white guys seem to make it the furthest. I want someone to pick someone of another race on this show (for the right reasons, not just to do it, obviously) and have it work out. That's asking a lot from some of the vapid people on these shows but it can't be that hard to find people willing to date someone outside of their race.

According to wiki, one of the Bachelor guys picked a Latina once. But yeah, it would be nice to see the central person be a minority.

Be happy that the black/asian/latina bachelorretes are too smart to get caught up in this shit.

I remember a special before season 3 (the one with Andrew Firestone) where they introduced the final five candidates for the bachelor. One was a ridiculously hot black guy who had won an Olympic gold medal in beach volleyball or something along those lines. I think that would have been awesome! I know it might ~shock~ people to see an interracial couple, but I hope they actually take the risk sometime.

If you think about it, it has only been six weeks since she got dumped by her fiance out of nowhere so he could date some skank he previously dumped (have you heard the rumors that Molly's pregnant?). She probably still has to heal from the pain and I can't imagine she's willing to trust some guy again so soon. I hope she can find the perfect guy on her own because she seemed like a pretty private person, all things considered, but if she can't I bet the producers would be willing to give her a chance to find someone on the show. But for the sake of her feelings, it's probably best that it's Jillian rather than Melissa (although I'm sure she could have refused on her own, I just mean that it probably wasn't the right time). I hope it works out for Melissa and Jillian and, it's mean, but I hope that Molly and Jason's relationship goes up in flames.
