- At the A-I Experience preview at Orlando, Fla. on Thursday night, all seven previous winners were in attendance. And that included Kelly Clarkson who in recent days has, shall we say, been very un-American Idol.
- David Cook and Carrie Underwood sang "Go Your Own Way" together.
- Each A-I received a sculpture of the old-fashioned microphone that has become synonymous with Idol.
By now you are probably wondering, or maybe not, what exactly is the "A-I Experience"?
Well, it's a replica of the set - the lights, music and even the Coke cups are there. Everything but Simon's demeanor is in place.
Every day park guests sign up to audition. Make it past a couple of producers and you perform in a mock "Idol" show with an audience of about 1,000 voting. Five shows per day, five winners who then compete that night.
The nightly winner gets a "Dream Ticket." And that stub, not to be confused with a old Disney E ticket, lets the winner jump the line at an actual A-I audition session.

I knew it was over for me when I realized I was more excited for Dancing with the Stars than AI.
And it makes me sad, because I was all about it last year!
*shrug* maybe it's because they're forcing it down our throat more, like "HERE IS FIFTEEN HOURS WORTH OF AI TO WATCH EACH WEEK AAAGGHH!"
