Ben Lee got married and he didn't even tell us.

Singer-songwriter Ben Lee, best known outside Australia for the 2005 hit "Catch My Disease" and for dating actress Claire Danes in the late '90s, married actress Ione Skye somewhere in the south of India in December 2008.

The pair, who announced their engagement almost one year ago, were hitched in a Hindu ceremony completely devoid of the one thing most betrothed couples learn to loathe - planning. The Hindu ceremony was, according to the Herald Sun article, planned without any of their input.

"A Hindu wedding is pretty spectacular in itself . . . we're both gonna be surprised,'' he told extrahit in November. The news broke on Boxing Day in Lee's native Australia.

It's Lee's first marriage, but in making his relationship with Skye official, he gained a stepdaughter in Kate, 7, Ione's daughter with ex-boyrfriend David Netto. Skye, the daughter of '60s pop star Donovan, was previously married to the Beastie Boys' Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz.
