[info]obviously_not 21st-Dec-2008 02:54 am (UTC)
well you should really get friends with good film tastes then, bb! :)
[info]la_petite_singe 21st-Dec-2008 02:57 am (UTC)
For real! They're both great.
[info]eleven59 21st-Dec-2008 03:20 am (UTC)
I love my friends to death, but ia :)
[info]obvious82 21st-Dec-2008 02:58 am (UTC)

[info]ava_cadabra 21st-Dec-2008 03:10 am (UTC)

[info]p0intnumber0ne 21st-Dec-2008 03:42 am (UTC)

[info]filthe 21st-Dec-2008 06:26 am (UTC)
Milk is completely amazing.Go see it!

None of the theatres around here play Slumdog Millionaire.
[info]badhabitsx3 21st-Dec-2008 07:40 am (UTC)
Slumdog Millionaire was absolutely amazing.
[info]ohwhat_aworld 21st-Dec-2008 07:56 am (UTC)
those are the two best films of the year, and i'd say you shouldn't wait for them and/or get friends with better taste in movies:)
[info]_sammie 21st-Dec-2008 08:39 am (UTC)
Slumdod Millionaire was fantastic! you should definitely see it
[info]_directions 21st-Dec-2008 09:01 am (UTC)
slumdog millionaire was excellent!

force them?
[info]shamwow16 21st-Dec-2008 09:30 am (UTC)
Both are incredible.

I want Slumdog to win best picture. But i won't be angry if Milk wins.
[info]albion_lass 21st-Dec-2008 11:55 am (UTC)
aww go alone! seriously brave it, bb. no one will care. i saw milk yesterday on my own (i've been in london so this was literally the first chance i had) and it was so great. i was able to giggle at the guys kissing without getting weird looks...and ball my eyes out without having to be ashamed. problem was i was expecting recovery time in the toilets but my dad was right outside the theatre when it was over and i was all puffy and red :p

seriously go see milk.
[info]revenantrose 21st-Dec-2008 12:09 pm (UTC)
Dude, I'm just jealous they're actually playing where you live. This stupid conservative town I live in never has the interesting movies. I had to drive 90 minutes just to see Brokeback Mountain, and that was after it got all the Oscar nods.
[info]rockershrimp 21st-Dec-2008 06:45 pm (UTC)
i'd go with you bb.
[info]onthaedge 21st-Dec-2008 10:09 pm (UTC)
I almost wish I had gone alone to see Milk. I cried so fucking hard, and I couldn't control myself even after the credits were over. My friend had a field day with that.

But definitely go see Milk, even if no one else will go with you. It was absolutely amazing.
[info]tr3ndyy 21st-Dec-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
im dying to see Slumdog.
[info]rlmoonyk 21st-Dec-2008 03:06 am (UTC)
me too. I wish it was playing everywhere-I hate it when movies do that
[info]ultravlntmoloko 21st-Dec-2008 03:58 am (UTC)
when it's nominated for oscars then i'm sure it will be in wider release.
[info]badhabitsx3 21st-Dec-2008 07:41 am (UTC)
It's absolutely amazing!
[info]shamwow16 21st-Dec-2008 09:31 am (UTC)
I think it deserves best picture but Milk was pretty amazing as well.
[info]shadyoutkast 21st-Dec-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
*counting down to the Winchester men's movies*
[info]redleigh86 21st-Dec-2008 02:52 am (UTC)
I know Jensen's in that 3d horror flick, but what is Jared doing?

creepy captcha code alert: Spaniards Sniffin!

[info]saturnpinkgurl 21st-Dec-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
Woll is #2. Is that a record?
[info]dainichister 21st-Dec-2008 05:35 am (UTC)
his movie made more $$$ per theater, they just werent showing it at as many as yes man.
[info]chelsi_loves_it 21st-Dec-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
I cant decide which to see. I'm not really intrigued by any of them. HOWEVER, I will be all over fucking Valkyrie and Frost/Nixon when they come out.
[info]good_life_la 21st-Dec-2008 04:38 am (UTC)
who's your icon of?
[info]cecilia_weasley 21st-Dec-2008 05:07 am (UTC)
I'm not chelsi_loves_it but I think that's Nicole Richie.
[info]chelsi_loves_it 21st-Dec-2008 06:55 pm (UTC)
Nicole Richie from a photo out of her book.
[info]sn00dle 21st-Dec-2008 06:10 am (UTC)
Frost/Nixon played in my theatre for a grand total of 3 days. :(

I'll be all over Valkyrie for Bill Nighy and Eddie Izzard <3 <3 <3
[info]tybone 21st-Dec-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
I want to see Milk and Frost/Nixon.
[info]tybone 21st-Dec-2008 03:05 am (UTC)
I'd rather see it in the theaters, plus the quality will be bootleg.
[info]p0intnumber0ne 21st-Dec-2008 03:44 am (UTC)
I want to see Milk after my friend was BAWLING all over that shit.
I love movies that has some sort of effect like that.
[info]shamwow16 21st-Dec-2008 09:32 am (UTC)
If you watch it online (the good quality screener version) there's actually a few scenes missing.

You might as well see it in theaters! it's worth it!
[info]__orangeglo 21st-Dec-2008 02:51 am (UTC)
four for you 'four christmases.' you go, 'four christmases.'

**SPOILERS FOR SEVEN POUNDS**

Smith's character is a chef who recruits people to attend his annual lavish Italian feast, featuring seven pounds of pasta!
[info]la_bellaviidaxo 21st-Dec-2008 02:53 am (UTC)
gtfo!
[info]palmettohaven 21st-Dec-2008 02:53 am (UTC)
LMAO
[info]deathcabparami 21st-Dec-2008 02:54 am (UTC)
i honestly wish that was the ending.
[info]surlycue 21st-Dec-2008 02:54 am (UTC)
You know he'd save some dough if he just got 2 orders of Pizza Hut's 3 lb of pasta for $11.99
[info]redcurrantbasil 21st-Dec-2008 02:58 am (UTC)
Is the title a Merchant of Venice reference?
Pound of flesh.
[info]principino 21st-Dec-2008 02:59 am (UTC)
In actuality, yes.
[info]knight_ley 21st-Dec-2008 03:21 am (UTC)
I would believe if it was directed by m. night shyamalan. Haha. If he is reading ontd right now, he will probably steal that for his next film.
[info]piratesswoop 21st-Dec-2008 03:29 am (UTC)
srsly?

but no, really, what's the movie about?
[info]shanny_w 21st-Dec-2008 03:31 am (UTC)
Predictable.
[info]supervixen06 21st-Dec-2008 03:34 am (UTC)

[info]strong_glad 21st-Dec-2008 10:13 am (UTC)
omg I honestly almost didn't read this comment because I hate spoilers but then I realized I'm not going to see the movie so i scrolled back up and i'm so glad i did. i just laughed so hard.
[info]lasamy 21st-Dec-2008 01:51 pm (UTC)
HAHA
[info]bloody_pickle 21st-Dec-2008 02:52 am (UTC)
I just watched Wall-E. I thought it was good until they added the humans. The humans ruined the movie for me
[info]snowfall36 21st-Dec-2008 03:31 am (UTC)
I read that last part as "The humans ruined the race for me". It made me lol until I realized.
[info]pa_0205 21st-Dec-2008 04:44 am (UTC)
I agree. The humans took away from the seriousness of the movie because they seemed so ridiculously cartoonish compared to Wall-E and EVE. I still love the movie though. :)
[info]hypocrisyetal 21st-Dec-2008 11:50 am (UTC)
i agree, i hated how they looked, i hated their ship, everything up to that point was decent. Wall-E: most overrated movie ever
[info]meranii_raushu 21st-Dec-2008 03:11 pm (UTC)
Exactly! I really disliked them... the ending was so unbelievable, too.

Now all of my friends look at me funny when I say I thought the overall movie was meh.
[info]hullywood_bound 21st-Dec-2008 02:52 am (UTC)
im not gonna lie Yes Man was funny -- stupid funny but still funny. Then again I saw it for free so maybe I liked it more cause I didnt have to pay lol.

Im curious how Marley & Me will do -- I saw it the other day and seriously that movie should not be opening on Christmas day.
[info]jerrivalentine 21st-Dec-2008 02:55 am (UTC)
How was Zooey in it? Was she bad like in The Happening?
[info]hullywood_bound 21st-Dec-2008 02:58 am (UTC)
I actually liked Zooey in this. Her character is a little odd, quirky...but she works it and it worked for the film :D. I laughed a LOT during the movie, I was surprised that a lot of the funny parts weren't played over and over and over in tv previews. It was a nice change of pace.
[info]hurryimfallin 21st-Dec-2008 05:04 am (UTC)
She was really good I thought. I've never seen the Happening but from everything I heard, I'll stay away lmao.
[info]boogajwooga 22nd-Dec-2008 03:55 pm (UTC)
I think she was super ridiculously cute in this
[info]surlycue 21st-Dec-2008 02:52 am (UTC)
Lol at Keanu looming in the background
[info]surlycue 21st-Dec-2008 02:53 am (UTC)

[info]novemberdelight 21st-Dec-2008 12:04 pm (UTC)

[info]vendettavv 21st-Dec-2008 02:52 am (UTC)
I love these "combined" movie posters, do you make them?
[info]dnfrommn 21st-Dec-2008 03:00 am (UTC)
yep. I usually send them on to tupsipop, but that account has been terminated. I dunno what happened to him/her.

I enjoy making them. They're not quite worth1000.com worthy, so I just pawn them off on ONTD. :)
[info]surlycue 21st-Dec-2008 03:04 am (UTC)
They're hilarious. KUTGW. Maybe tupsipop finally met Emmy Rossum and no longer finds satisfaction in the petty gratification she gets from gossip sites.
[info]violue 21st-Dec-2008 03:20 am (UTC)
:O no more tusipop?
[info]shanny_w 21st-Dec-2008 03:32 am (UTC)
I appreciate your works~
[info]juanitatequila 21st-Dec-2008 03:45 am (UTC)
pls keep up the good work with these "combined" movie posters!! :D
[info]dorkii_rawk 21st-Dec-2008 04:28 am (UTC)

[info]thisbe 21st-Dec-2008 02:53 am (UTC)

[info]thisbe 21st-Dec-2008 03:12 am (UTC)

[info]ultravlntmoloko 21st-Dec-2008 04:00 am (UTC)

[info]anywherebuthere 21st-Dec-2008 04:35 am (UTC)

[info]electric_mole_x 21st-Dec-2008 05:14 am (UTC)
lmao, i inexplicably love this song sfm.
[info]boogajwooga 22nd-Dec-2008 03:56 pm (UTC)
Leggy leggy leggy leggy.

I love that he was basically Murray in Yes Man
[info]catn3d 21st-Dec-2008 02:53 am (UTC)
Anyone see Seven Pounds? I heard it was really bad. Slumdog Millionaire is good. I love Dev!
[info]captain_oats__ 21st-Dec-2008 03:01 am (UTC)
i saw it and it was pretty pointless for the entire first half...like nothing happened. but then it was so god damn sad. i regret seeing it...
[info]catn3d 21st-Dec-2008 03:05 am (UTC)
Sad, really? You regret seeing it because it was so sad or another reason?
[info]thelovegetaway 21st-Dec-2008 03:07 am (UTC)
What happened?
[info]x_ap0488x 21st-Dec-2008 03:14 am (UTC)
Wait...why do you regret seeing it?
because it was bad?
or because it made you like really really sad?
[info]lolzerz 21st-Dec-2008 03:59 am (UTC)
ikr. i hate movies that make me think about life and how ill never do anything that great.
[info]coco_lenoix 21st-Dec-2008 04:19 am (UTC)
The problem is that it's marketed as a holiday film because of it's release date. Those are usually feel good films, but it's the farthest thing from that. You finish it and kind of want to curl up in a ball and go to bed.
[info]sn00dle 21st-Dec-2008 06:12 am (UTC)
Seven Pounds was kinda awful :(
[info]estx1987 21st-Dec-2008 05:45 pm (UTC)
The first like 1.5 hours are sooo boring.. but then the last half hour is so sad, it actually made me cry and gave me horrible thoughts.
[info]winniechili 21st-Dec-2008 02:53 am (UTC)
I was supposed to see Slumdog yesterday, but then I got sick. BLURGH!
