It's way cooler than my husband's smiley face with vampire teeth that he got when he was 18. But I agree on the size, I always wanted a tiny font tattoo!

well, I walked into my consultation today planning to get a simple human heart diagram, but it turned into a great vintage-style piece with a gypsy head, the heart diagram, and a banner reading "heart vs heart". I'm pretty excited!

Second worst after the lower half top of the foot where the toe bones are. I have both and the foot gave me the sweats.

They're not nearly as painful as anything you'll get on your actual ankle bone or on top of your foot or the top of your hand.

My side piece hurt more then my other tattoos, but it wasn't anything severe. It hurt less then breaking a bone and I've done that too many times to be concerned.

It's really not that bad! And after 10-15 mins your endorphins kick in!

I was scared shitless when I was about to get mine and it was not nearly what I expected! As she was doing it I was thinking about what I wanted next!

my friend got one this summer and said she didn't cry for the first hour but then after that she couldnt stop bawling because of the pain :\

Eh, I went through neurosurgery that left me in ICU for almost a solid week for pain control (no other reason, I would have gone home the next day if I could). I've another surgery (exact same thing) that I expect will land me there just as long, if not longer. Followed by a month of only bathing once a week because I couldn't handle the pain of getting into the shower (and my husband had to bathe me, I couldn't lift my arms at all). I have had chronic pain for a dozen years, and I was blown away by the surgery.

Tattoos are nothing, really. Really truly nothing. Even for those who feel it hurts "a lot", it's really not that painful on the scale of pain.

I don't mind pain, but I am so afraid of needles! Even in movies, I can't watch someone get a shot--but I have no problem with watching someone get their head sliced off with a sword or something.

I always tell my mom she's lucky I have that phobia, because otherwise I would have tattoos and piercings and she would not approve.
