Samantha Ronson may be one of the highest-profile lesbians in Hollywood at the moment, but is it possible she has no sympathy for other lesbians?

The resident DJ at Rubyfruit a well-known butch bar in the West Village claims Ronson blew her off when she asked her to be a guest deejay for a night to help raise money to save the bar. A rep for Ronson, however, heatedly denies the charge.

But Stacy "Deejay Stacy" Ledwith told The New York Post’s Page Six that she recently asked the Boys Don’t Cry deejay to do a benefit to help save the landmark lesbian bar. "The owner, Debra Fiero, said how great it would be if Sam Ronson deejayed there one night," Ledwith told Page Six.

"At first, her agent said it was $8,000 for the night plus airfare and hotel. Then, he was informed it was a gay and lesbian bar, we were told she doesn't do those kind of venues. She doesn't do gay and lesbian bars and clubs. I thought it was kind of strange considering she's a lesbian. It would have been really great to have her in there and help . . . It's really like betraying her sisters. It just doesn't make sense." Ledwith said.

But Brandon Phelps, a spokesman for the openly gay Ronson, insisted that no such request was ever received. “I can tell you that I am the only one that runs her calendar and was never approached by Rubyfruit," he said.

Rubyfruit is the latest Manhattan bar to fall victim to rising rents and fewer patrons. A rescuer has since stepped forward and plans to reopen the bar as the RF Lounge, in late November.
