it's not exactly an invasion of privacy as such.... it says on the page patients in the ICU and Burns Unit may not receive messages, at the discretion of their nurse.

It says that all emails sent to patients in the ICU or burn center will be reviewed by nurses and their nurses will decide whether or not to show it to them. So I'm sure they're not going to see many of these, but it will be nice for them to hear how many they are getting. If there are any bad ones they won't know about it.
