Celebrity Designer Face-off: Eva Mendes vs. Heidi Klum vs. Gwen Stefani
Eva's bedding for Macy*s
While other Hollywood stars are setting their sights on conquering the worlds of fashion, fragrance — or even hair extensions — Eva Mendes is poised to make her mark on home design. Macy’s has just revealed exclusively to PEOPLE that the actress, along with partner George Augusto, is collaborating with them on a line of luxury bedding that will launch online and in stores at the middle of this month. The Latin-inspired collection, Vida, will come in five styles, each of which, like Bettina above, will feature rich patterns and intricate detailing. “Vida is all about easy luxury,” Mendes says. “The colors, fabrics and textures that I live and love, brought to life in a stylish, comfortable and affordable way.” So what does it cost to crawl under Eva’s covers? A four-piece queen set, which includes a comforter, bedskirt and two shams, will set you back between $340 to $425.
Heidi Klum's jeans for Jordache

Gwen Stefani's barmistress uniforms for W HotelsUniforms aren’t exactly what comes to mind when we think of trend-setting star and clothing designer Gwen Stefani. But the L.A.M.B. founder has just announced that she will launch an exclusive line of work-wear for W Hotels. Starting this fall, female staff members at the luxe hotel chain’s Living Room lounges throughout the country will be outfitted in the custom L.A.M.B. design. And Gwen’s touch is instantly apparent: the black jersey dresses combine a fitted ’80s silhouette and asymmetrical styling with ’60s seam detailing and side vents. When creating the design, she knew it would have to not just look good, but be functional for active employees. “I wanted to design a super cute dress that I would be excited to have in my own closet and approached it in the same way I think about my clothing for a tour,” she says. “We’ve designed a sexy and comfortable outfit for these women to wear out on their own stage every night.”

I like Gwen's dress, but do bartenders really want to be in 4 inch heels all shift? I think not. And that bedspread is so suburban housewife, they should feature it on Desperate Housewives.

Heidi Klum's jeans for Jordache
Heidi Klum knows what it takes to make a good pair of jeans, and she’s not afraid to shake it! “It’s very important to have a little bit of something fun on the butt,” she told PEOPLE Tuesday, shaking her derriere at an event to celebrate the launch of her fall/winter 2008 denim line, Heidi Klum by Jordache. The model and Project Runway judge wore a sheer blouse and a pair of jeans from her line — complete with “booty bling” on the back pocket — to greet fans and sign autographs at Bloomindgale’s in Manhattan on Tuesday. Working on the line, Klum learned that how a pair of jeans fits on a girl’s behind is the most important thing to consider when designing. “The first thing girls do [when putting on a pair of jeans] is turn around and look in the mirror and they look what their butts look like,” she said. “It just has to look right and as perfect as possible.”
