because they don't want to see that kind of lifestyle glamourized for their junior high & high school children. i know tv has come a long way in terms of realism and censorship, but i am honestly shocked that they're allowed to make something like that for such a young audience. i remember when friends was considered risque because you knew the adults were sleeping with their dates and stuff. and they never even showed anything.
