to make her own line of stripper poles!

Carmen Electra has another venture to add to her resume - she is launching her own line of portable stripper poles.

The Scary Movie star is such a fan of pole-dancing, she wants women worldwide to be able to enjoy a pole dancer’s workout in the comfort of their own home.

She tells website People.com, “They’re so much fun. I actually put one up in my living room with the help of a girlfriend.”

But the beauty admits the pole’s technique can be hard to get to grips with.

She explains, “Pole dancing really isn’t as easy as it looks. I’m still taking pointers. It’s a good workout.

now all of the girlies [guys too!] can go and practice some moves on the stripper pole before heading to the street corner. they can even take it with them to attract a crowd! [/sarcasm]

I'd try it, but I don't think I'd want it set up in my house all the time. Like, what if my parents came over? I'm sure that would be an interesting conversation.
ericasays 27th-May-2008 02:06 am (UTC)
no mom, it's for exercising... i swear.
toastedhoney 27th-May-2008 03:41 am (UTC)
I have one. You can take it down or put it up in about 10 seconds. When it's down, it looks like a plant hook on the ceiling.
julie709 27th-May-2008 03:49 am (UTC)
Oh cool. I was thinking you'd have to attach it somewhere and not be able to take it down. This is good to know, hehe.
equallydamaged 27th-May-2008 03:59 am (UTC)
Did you get yours from Spencers? If not then where?
lespapillons 27th-May-2008 02:00 am (UTC)
I secretly want to be a pole dancer.
prinzessin784 27th-May-2008 02:01 am (UTC)

Portable? Do they have a heavy base or something?

Shoot, I want one though.
yooperchild 27th-May-2008 02:03 am (UTC)
Her stripper workouts are currently running on Exercise TV if anyone is interested (I get the channel for free through my cable company). I use a lot of the workout stuff on there, so I figured I'd give this a try too.

And I found it way, way, way too hard. I am no where near physically coordinated enough to do it and I gave up about 10 minutes into it because I kept tripping over my feet.

I think I'll stick to my step aerobics, thank you...
prinzessin784 27th-May-2008 02:11 am (UTC)
lol I trip when I do The Firm videos and they are for fat old ladies :( haha
yooperchild 27th-May-2008 02:28 am (UTC)
Ah! I can't do the firm either!! *LOL*

The only trainers I find I can really actually stick with are Kendell Hogan (He's does a lot of exercise Tv & Fit tv stuff) and Gilad.....other people seem to go to fast and use a lot of terminology that makes me feel I should have taken a "workout class" before I even started!
movielooney 27th-May-2008 02:03 am (UTC)
Pole dancing is an AWESOME workout. Especially for abs and arms. I got a thousand bruises per class though.
itsafacade 27th-May-2008 02:04 am (UTC)

i really want a pole & her dvd! looks so fun.
indie_star 27th-May-2008 02:06 am (UTC)
