Smallville fans, consider this bullet officially dodged: Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that after weeks of tense negotiations, Allison Mack has sealed a deal to return next season as a series regular!

Although the specifics of the new contract -- which was signed just hours ago -- are being kept under wraps, I'm told it calls for Mack to appear in all episodes produced next season. As I reported earlier this week, the actress' reps were (wisely) using the imminent departure of Smallville vet Michael Rosenbaum as leverage in the negotiations. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the strategy paid off.

NBC owns my Thursdays, too, but I make an effort to watch SV at the 8 p.m. hour. Of course, if Allison had NOT come back for Smallville S8, NBC would have had ALL of me :)

what is happening in it?
last weeks episode was a whack piece of shite and i can't believe my friend made me sit through it. like, honestly, what's the appeal?
They have really deep complicated relationships with each other. Smallville is two shows. One sucks. The other one is compelling drama. The problem is you never know from week to week what you're going to get.
I swear it's a drug because it pretty much punishes me for watching every freaking single time (Chloe/Jimmy? Gross. Clana? End it already? Nois Lame? Waste of a character. Beating Chloe down every chance they get? Is getting old.)
I was totally going to quit the show if Allison left (of course, losing Michael is the WORST), but I guess I'll stick around to at least, see them finish it out now.
