Katie Price out in Beverly Hills with daughter Princess Tiáamii

When a child develops chicken pox, most parents' first instinct would be to keep them tucked up in bed covered in calamine lotion.

But when Jordan's daughter Princess Tiáamii caught the infectious disease while on holiday in Los Angeles, the glamour model was insistent life should carry on as normal.

Despite medical recommendations to keep a chicken pox sufferer at home, the glamour model brought the nine-month-old baby for a day out in Beverly Hills - and her spotty appearance certainly caused a stir.

When poor Princess appeared to be growing ever more uncomfortable from her illness, the pair decided to bring her to a clinic in Encino, before being redirected to the Children's Hospital in nearby Hollywood.

[info]wime_tarp 21st-Apr-2008 05:48 pm (UTC)
Yeah it's awful. I swear Katie does its eyebrows and puts a little bit of makeup on it too, like the pictures of them landing in LA the baby looks SLUTTY.
[info]scarletinside 21st-Apr-2008 06:06 pm (UTC)
I hate to admit it..but it's true.

[info]mattchew03 21st-Apr-2008 05:18 pm (UTC)
Wow... I bet she brought her daughter out with Chicken Pox because she knew the pictures would get more circulation. Mother of the year.
[info]lauraannerose 21st-Apr-2008 05:37 pm (UTC)
oh is that whats wrong with the kids face? I was wondering... Idk, they always look miserable with a happy facade to me.
[info]c_butler 21st-Apr-2008 05:55 pm (UTC)
it looks more like acne
[info]daydreamrachey 21st-Apr-2008 07:18 pm (UTC)
chicken pox? hmm, well i suppose that makes more sense than methface, which was what I was originally thinking.
[info]screamofwheat 21st-Apr-2008 05:18 pm (UTC)
when i was 5 i got chickenpox and my mom took me to the grocery store but she made me sit in the buggy with my head down to hide my face. rofllllll.
[info]vanillllla 21st-Apr-2008 05:22 pm (UTC)
lol
[info]lauraannerose 21st-Apr-2008 05:37 pm (UTC)
eww your icon lol
[info]sexi_squidward 21st-Apr-2008 06:02 pm (UTC)
lmao I wish my mom did that. I wanted to get out of the house so bad it was killing me. She left me upstairs all day so the kids she babysat didn't catch it. I tried coming down the one time and she screamed at me to get back upstairs...thankfully there was cable in her room.

[info]zulkey 21st-Apr-2008 06:22 pm (UTC)
omg my mom did the same thing to me...at a 4th of july parade!
[info]liesandruh 21st-Apr-2008 08:24 pm (UTC)
i missed pancake day at first grade :(
[info]miselemeas 22nd-Apr-2008 11:48 am (UTC)
That's how I caught the chicken pox, from some silly mother bringing her infectious child to the supermarket and 2 weeks later, I'm hospitalised with it. I won't ever look at mothers with their kids the same way again.
[info]agaetisbyrjun 21st-Apr-2008 05:18 pm (UTC)
wow, she looks just like peter.
[info]hot143chocolate 21st-Apr-2008 05:18 pm (UTC)
Jordan always looks like a past-her-prime stripper/porn star.
[info]kitkats_lj 21st-Apr-2008 05:25 pm (UTC)
kinda what she is, tbh
[info]dukefame 21st-Apr-2008 05:19 pm (UTC)
aww man. chicken pox are the worst. she is still ridiculously adorable.
[info]firstblush 21st-Apr-2008 05:19 pm (UTC)
That not only seems bad for the child who should be getting rest, but the danger of exposing others to it :/
[info]mad_turtle 21st-Apr-2008 05:24 pm (UTC)
Agreed. Very selfish parents.
[info]xangie24x 21st-Apr-2008 05:33 pm (UTC)
I feel bad for the baby... poor thing looks miserable.
[info]hcrewzor 21st-Apr-2008 06:02 pm (UTC)
Especially those who are immune-compromised.
[info]mynamewastaken 21st-Apr-2008 07:14 pm (UTC)
most kids nowadays are vaccinated against chicken pox and those who's parents opted to not vaccinate them usually want them exposed to chicken pox.
[info]amandamaesteele 21st-Apr-2008 07:35 pm (UTC)
once they have the actual spots they aren't contagious anymore anyway.
I'm surprised no ones mentioned this in any of the posts.
[info]euphrosyna 21st-Apr-2008 07:54 pm (UTC)
I was just about to say that! :)
[info]ems 21st-Apr-2008 08:49 pm (UTC)
I was hoping someone would point this out!

[info]fcukyuo 21st-Apr-2008 05:43 pm (UTC)
thanks for the tip bb!
[info]daishstarter 21st-Apr-2008 05:20 pm (UTC)
Wow, her daughter is ugly.
[info]deftonedpiano 21st-Apr-2008 05:20 pm (UTC)
It could be a type of acne that babies get too. It doesn't look like chicken pox. It's only on her face.
[info]strangelittlex 21st-Apr-2008 05:21 pm (UTC)
It's on her arms also.
[info]deftonedpiano 21st-Apr-2008 05:22 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I just looked again and it seems to be on her upper arms, but her legs appear to have none of it. So I don't know.
[info]reesefanforever 21st-Apr-2008 05:21 pm (UTC)
it apparently is chicken pox, katie said how Junior had it recently and has passed it on to the baby
[info]roommates4eva 21st-Apr-2008 05:22 pm (UTC)
No, she confirmed that both Junior and Princess have chicken pox.
[info]astragali 21st-Apr-2008 05:22 pm (UTC)
Babies are usually over the baby acne by 9 months, though--it happens because they're working mom's hormones out of their system after birth.
[info]katinthahat 21st-Apr-2008 08:08 pm (UTC)
lol my chicken pox was only on my ass.
true story.
[info]votero 21st-Apr-2008 05:20 pm (UTC)
these people cannot be serious.
[info]super_creeps 21st-Apr-2008 05:20 pm (UTC)
What if she infected someone who has never had chicken pox when she went shopping? If you catch it while you're an adult isn't it quite dangerous?
[info]boomstick 21st-Apr-2008 05:21 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it can turn into shingles. I haven't had chicken pox yet but I got the vaccine about...seven years ago. I should probably get it updated, the kind I got was only about 70% effective :x
[info]tartarsaauce 21st-Apr-2008 05:27 pm (UTC)
My brother got it when he was 16 and it wasn't fun. Stay strong, bb!
[info]excelente 21st-Apr-2008 07:06 pm (UTC)
For real. Get on that. I get the chicken pox when I was almost 12 from my younger brother. My mom tried to cart me off to a friend's house so I wouldn't get infected, but it was too late. I was bedridden for 2 weeks straight and thought I was going to die.
[info]rose_of_love 21st-Apr-2008 05:22 pm (UTC)
Yes, it is. You could suffer from pneumonia (spelling?) at the same time and it can end up deadly. :/
[info]strangelittlex 21st-Apr-2008 05:22 pm (UTC)
Yeah but the odds of that are pretty slim, and even then you won't die. My brother got it as an adult.
[info]emmakey 21st-Apr-2008 05:36 pm (UTC)
I don't remember how chicken pox goes - is it only contagious for a short time? I thought once you knew you had it, you were no longer contagious. Is that wrong?
[info]bridget_lynn 21st-Apr-2008 06:10 pm (UTC)
it's really bad if you're an adult who hasn't had it. my aunt got it the same time her 5 year old got it. He was fine like 2 weeks later and she was in the hospital 'cause she got them in her ears, throat and under her eye lids.
[info]itzeebitzeespdr 21st-Apr-2008 07:00 pm (UTC)
That's what im afraid of. My daughter starts school this year and as badly as I want her to get them asap, I'm scared because I've never had them!:\
[info]euphrosyna 21st-Apr-2008 07:55 pm (UTC)
You're right, but it's no longer contagious once the spots are out.
[info]siyahsaclikiz 21st-Apr-2008 08:16 pm (UTC)
Yup. Which is why she shouldn't be doing it. (Eddie Izzard FTW! I love that routine of his. Pears really should just fuck right off, unless you eat them as soon as you get them.)
[info]rlmoonyk 21st-Apr-2008 09:50 pm (UTC)
omg I'm so paranoid after reading these stories. I've never had chicken pox before ;o
[info]boomstick 21st-Apr-2008 05:20 pm (UTC)
That kid looks miserable.

I never had chicken pox, but I remember when my brother had them. He seemed fine except for the rash. As soon as he got better he got pinkeye, lmfao.
[info]la_bellavidaxo 21st-Apr-2008 05:21 pm (UTC)
The kid looks like it has down syndrome :(
[info]ladynasty 21st-Apr-2008 05:25 pm (UTC)
what, no she doesn't. >:(
[info]redletternite 21st-Apr-2008 05:29 pm (UTC)
ia that's one of the ugliest babies i've ever seen. the hairstyle isn't helping.
