USA Today Goes Behind the Scenes of Gossip Girl, Writes Inane Commentary to Pictures
Behind the Scenes of Gossip Girl

The CW'S Gossip Girl takes over-the-top teen drama to the next level. USA TODAY is on set for a behind-the-scenes look at the sex-filled, fashion-forward drama.
I believe these are the follow-up/companion to this article I posted yesterday.

Real Life Friends: For Leighton Meester, left, and Blake Lively and other stars, it's like college, "plus a lot of cameras and beautiful designer clothes," Lively says.

What's with the dish? Serena (Lively), Chuck (Ed Westwick) and the rest of the gang get the scoop from Gossip Girl's blog. What do you mean "what is with the dish?" I THINK YOU MEAN "WHAT'S THE DISH" if you are implying Chuck cares what Serena is reading. Which he doesn't.

Blair's flair for fashion: Meester, centre, hangs out on the Long Island City set. To create a style for Meester's character, costume designer Eric Daman studied how Upper East Side private school girls "trick out" uniforms with the latest bags and shoes. LOL at "'tricked out'". What is this, Pimp My Ride? Also, Blair and Chuck are totally matching on purpose. Look at those orange footless tights!

"A weird parallel: Lively is a target for rumors off-screen, too. One links her to co-star Penn Badgley. IDK who they are attributing that quote to, or why the quotations were needed.

Home, sweet home: The interior of the Humphrey's apartment, where siblings Dan and Jenny Humphrey (Penn Badgley and Taylor Momsen) reside, has all the trappings of a real abode--minus the ceiling. And the bathroom. Don't forget the bathroom. Or the asbestos

Can you hear me now? Lively gets some talk time, and down time while she hangs out with a crew member. That comma was unnecessary, and isn't there anything else people can write when someone's on the phone besides CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? Lazy.

All about the accessories: Westwick has the preppy schoolboy look down with his punchy orange coat, striped tie, and sleek bag. Apparently they used up their comma quota with that extra comma in the previous blurb, so I put in the Oxford comma they were missing after "tie" for them. You're welcome, USA TODAY.

OMFG.
And I love it when magazines/newspapers like to stay on top of the current lingo. Word of advice: don't market for the youth generation, they'll eventually come to you.
