Miss France 2008 keeps crown despite photo scandal

Miss France 2008 was not dethroned because of racy photographs that surfaced earlier this month of the beauty. In one photograph the bikini-clad Miss France is lying on a cross in a swimming pool. In another photograph, it appears that she is licking what looks like yogurt or evaporated milk. In the final photos that surfaced she is wearing a sheer, wet top which you can see through. The photos caused much controversy in France.

American's wouldn't really find this offending, cuz we're so skanky and all, but the French, yes.

Let just say that the woman that organizes the pageant is very conservative and old fashioned. It was who was shocked but not the majority of French people. For example, even the bishop of the Réunion island was supporting miss France. The French oversea territories minister had to intervene to placate Mme de Fontenay (the organizer)

Why is everyone going on about France being so 'woah' for finding this offensive? Haven't a bunch of US ones been dethroned cause there were pictures of them partying? Nipples, poor hygiene and blasphemy trump partying.
