regina spektor hospitalized

Russian-born singer-pianist Regina Spektor collapsed and was rushed to the hospital before her nearly sold-out show at Ryman Auditorium tonight.

Ten minutes or so after she was expected to take the stage, officials with the Ryman announced that doctors were holding her for observation at a local hospital, adding that Spektor was extremely disappointed about what happened and was working on rescheduling the concert for Dec.

Ticket stubs from tonight’s show would be honored for the later date. Ticket-holders unable to attend the December show were instructed to obtain a refund from their point of purchase.

She had a severe ear infection that led to her getting vertigo.

My friends went to her concert in LA at the Wiltern recently, and said she's HORRIBLE live =/ She kept mumbling and was very shy and some girls in the audience were being annoying but were even louder than her. They like Regina, but they said they are never going to any of her concerts again.

When I saw her she was kind of shy and stuff, but in a really cute way and she was just about the most adorable person I've ever seen...she got many marriage proposals from the audience that night ;) And her voice was amazing.
