Southern CA Fire Gets Closer to Several Celeb Homes
Update: Celebrity Homes in Danger

The fire in Malibu is raging away and the homes of several celebrities are in the fire’s path. Courtney Cox & David Arquette, Jennifer Aniston, The Mortons, and David Geffen are all in jeopardy of losing their houses if the fire is not contained.
The temperature is rising and the wind is still kicking up, making it even harder for the fire fighters to make any progress.

I heard that these fires are 0% contained at this point... does anyone have more information on the severity of the entire situation?
I know it's a little cheesy, but I think Randy Pausch's lecture/Oprah's episode is going to change my life.
i meant to watch it and i got caught up in something else!
my friend's dad died of cancer 3 days ago :(
Cancer needs to fuck off already. >:\
But I've been assigned a story for the school newspaper about a teacher whose son suffers from brain tumor. I seriously am scared shit less. I don't know how to face people with illness. And I'm afraid I'm too cheery to be assigned for this article :(
Help! Tips on how to approach the story and sources professionaly but without detachement that I might seem cold.
i hope they've evacuated.
on the other hand, they have other houses, too. it's the mementos that are important.
I don't mean to go all fire-nerd on you, I'm sorry. My boyfriend works for CDF, and he's on his way down south right now to fight these fires.
CDF and the Forest Service are way understaffed and it might be a while before this stuff is put out.
I have two PQ evacuees in my house right now, but we live right by Solana Beach, and if they're leaving, we'll probably have to leave, too.
No lies-this is scary shit.
personally, i don't care either way.. but no one can win in either situation.
damn, you are so fucking heartless. "a fire that could kill people and ruin their homes? oh, boo hoo for them."
the house i grew up in burned to the ground today.
lmfao.
i live in S.D. and am GLUED to the TV
Not that I don't have sympathy for everyone who had to evacuate, just saying.
It's getting closer here and I'm already packed, ready to bail.
Shit, i feel so sorry for all the people living in these areas :/
Anyway, I feel bad for anyone in that area. The most important thing is be safe, homes come second. I hope everyone will be okay.
i hope everyone there is ok
