Jane article by Rapaport about Lyonne

I mentioned the Jane article that Michael Rapaport wrote about Natasha Lyonne (see post before about the police biznaz) and people wanted to read the Jane article, SOOOO I thought I'd be a dear and scan in the pages for your pleasure.

Mr. Rapaport is an awesome actor, but WOAH! she is going to be mad when she sees this little number. I'd be a scared little lamb.

I can't decide who I feel more bad for. The girl clearly has problems and sounds like a freak, but to write about it in Jane??...I'd be pissed if I was her.

I LOVE him as an actor, he is a favorite of mine, but I hope he tried some other routes first....

**An amendment: Apparently he may have abused ex-girlfriend Lili Taylor in the past, but I couldn't find anything that says specifically that, not that it isn't true, I just couldn't find it. I'm no legal law specialist guru, and I have no desire to find out what exactly "aggravated harassment" is since I need to hit the hay, but if someone wants to inform the masses, feel free. So this is all I saw on my lazy-ass google, from this not so convincing website: http://www.tribute.ca/bio.asp?id=3153:

That's fucking sad. She clearly has some mental health issues. I understand why he had to evict her, but to publicly humiliate her like that? I hope he got his money back telling his story. What a dick.

16 grand worth of damages, threats to tenants, and he will always have the people streaming over there looking for her cracked out ass that could hurt other tenants? he's more than justified in writing that. he should sue her but that would invite her back into his life and from what it sounds like, he wants her GONE.

and legally if you are a public figure of any kind (i.e. actor, politican, musician, etc.) you can't sue for defamation of character. something I actually absorbed from my PR class.

I am pre law... and i believe its called "Actual malice" or something like that... and if you declare that and can prove it, then you can sue.

... Its next to impossible to prove actual malice, because you have to be able to prove and back up the fact that the person was indeed out to get you and was doing it for nothing more than to hurt you and defame your name...

So, basically, celebs dont go throug hall of that trouble... but Tom Cruise had enough to show that the person was out for nothing but money, and to ruin his name!

dammit, it's supposed to be an upside down exclamation point (like en espanol) and the word challah and another regular exclamation point....Bah, now I have to re-think this all. I'm a freak :)

and defamation of character? nah. he could sue her for the 16 grand in damages plus property value dropping because of what she did to the place. she turned it into her own crack den and then threatened people who lived there besides making the area unsafe for anyone. she had no concern for anyone but herself and he's justified in writing it. hell, if I was Michael, I would send it to anyone who would print it so she couldn't get a lease.

yeah! i watched it when i was 15 or 16 or something, and then i saw the dvd in a shop last week for realllll cheap, i couldnt resist!

and so i came home and watched it and i thought, since i watched it when i was that young that i was probably thought that any movie with a teenage girl as the main protagonist was amazing that the movie might actually suck, haha but i still liked it, and she is totally adorable in it, and yeah i love her all over again! haha so thats my story

but, ick! i hated her role in american pie.
