Jim Sturgess is beautiful and he's got a fucking beautiful voice. Very Ewan McGregorness.

However the movie was too fucking long and got WAAAAAAAY too crazy in some parts. :(

My friend and I saw it today and just wished the movie had ended with the boat scene, where Jude picked Max up and carried him as Max held him close. Waaaaaay better. Way.

Very Ewan-esque! That's what I thought when I first heard him, and my friend as well. Gorgeous.

It was a strange movie in parts but my mom said it was true to how it was with all the drugs and the Beatles did some whacky shit, I don't know!

Jim Sturgess is gorgeous and sosososo talented.

But I disagree about the movie being too long. It's just my opinion, but because the story was so strongly centered on the music, and the story centered around Beatles songs, that they needed it to be character driven.

If you're not attached to the characters in the movie, you'd come away being unimpressed, because everyone already knows the songs they heard in the movie. The amazing thing about the movie isn't the music (the music IS amazing, but we've all heard it) it's the characters they created. And time needs to be given to the audience to get attached to the characters.

Now that I've said that however, I think the For the Benefit of Mr. Kite scene could have been shorter.
