Life in the Big Easy has had its challenges for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt since they moved to New Orleans in January. Ever since Jolie's mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer last month, the star just hasn't been the same, sources say.
Jolie's emotional distress has resulted in a noticeable weight loss. The 5-foot-8 star now weighs 109 pounds, says a source close to the couple. "She isn't eating."
Jolie, 31, is also "very lonely and desperate to make new friends," the source tells Us.
For now, she has been importing a support system by flying in old childhood friends from LA.
The source adds: "Brad has been worried about her day and night. She has been under so much stress, and Brad is trying to be understanding."

Like who?
they see to make friends with really random people
though i'm sure her mom dying isn't helping the issue :/
i'd guess like 104, maybe 103
Although both are obviouslt devestating
Truly it is. Next month will be 20 years, and there are times I wake up having panic attacks and crying out for her. I knew she was sick (breast cancer) and that she started to not to recognize me or being able to hold my baby brother, but when I saw the ekg machine with its flatline and the paramedics telling me, "We are sorry, but your mom has died!" For that 9 year old child I once was, it felt as if the world stood still.
It dosen't help that she's got a degenerating back, and on a cocktail of painkillers... I get so scared sometimes.
Although truth be told, while I'd be incredibly upset over my mom's death, I would go batshit insane if my sister died.

ps: i love phyllis!
I think I'm thankful most of the stress in my life is the former type, though, even if it means I'm not as skinny as I'd like to be. Small price to pay?
What sucked was after everything was finished, I felt better and then gained all the weight back and then some. (I probably lost 10 or 15 lbs)
well, yeah,...your source if true, Angie.
