Arcade Fire to Play "Saturday Night Live"

"Saturday Night Live"'s love affair with indie rock this season will continue on February 24, when the Arcade Fire will be the musical guest on the popular sketch-comedy show. Rainn Wilson, aka Dwight Schrute from "The Office", will be the host.

Richard Reed Parry and Rainn Wilson in the same room at the same time...wow. Can John Heder make a cameo? Please?

Blah blah blah Pitchfork is so pretentious blah blah blah Arcade Fire suck blah blah blah SNL isn't funny anymore. I personally am SO excited for this episode! Rainn AND Arcade Fire? It can't get any better than that for SNL.

Arcade Fire is pretty fun. I've never seen the Office once (I know, I know) so I have nothing to base an opinion on for the other guy, but sweet.

Fucking Sweet! I predict the Arcade Fire's new album will debut at No. 1 in the USA. If the Shins can debut at No.2 with their new one and Bright Eyes was able to go No. 10 and 15 in 2005 with their 2 albums. Arcade Fire will may sell 100,000 copies which is not much but compared to the MTV hype of Fall-Out Boy. Aracde Fire will do better with none of the hype of Fall-Out Boy.

because their music reviews extend beyond the top 40?

they're annoying, but not pretentious. they give really shitty meanstream rappers much higher ratings than many good indie bands
