Judging from these pictures and my knowledge of the Latin lanuage (Equus = Horse), I'm guessing the play is about a boy who is in love with a horse.

I always thought I was the average age for a Potter-fan. The books came out when I was eleven, and I started reading just around the third book came out, around '99. Now I'm a few months shy of twenty-one.

I'm not so much a fan of Daniel Radcliffe as I am of his character, and even then, Harry takes a backseat to Luna, Sirius, Percy, and so on.

He plays a very large part in pop culture, and is one of the highest-paid child actors in one of the most well-known movie franchises of all time. Of course people older than 20 know who he is. That's like saying that only 60 year-olds listen to the Beatles.

I'm 22. I'm not a crazy Harry Potter fangirl but I read the books and watch the movies and I like them. A lot of people my age and older are the same way. Some are even crazy fans.

To be honest, since the series came out when I was in high school I think a lot of the fans are about my age. There are certainly some younger, though.

Here's a brief synopsis of the play:

A psychiatrist, Martin Dysart, investigates the savage blinding of six horses with a metal spike in a stable in Hampshire, England. The atrocity was committed by an unassuming seventeen-year-old stable boy named Alan Strang (Radcliffe), the only son of an opinionated but inwardly-timid father and a genteel, religious mother. As Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy's demons, he finds himself face-to-face with his own.

The horse is a metaphor for his freedom. His parents are trying to control his coming of age and he rebels by having naked riding sessions with the horse. It's more about the symbolism than his interaction with the horse, itself.
