Leasing a car has to be one of the dumbest ways to spend your money. Unless, of course, you get a new car every few months or every year, but then I still think that's a dumb way to spend money.

I thought this too until some financial guy told my dad that since he owns his business, leasing is better for tax reasons or something. I dont know.

It probably depends on the business. My dad owns his own business, but I can't imagine leasing ever being a good option for him since he's a contractor.

Actually depending on the state/country it may be better to lease. Also, sometimes with leasing (depending on the contract) you don't have to worry about upkeep payments, etc and if your car breaks down you don't have to worry about finding a backup or whatever so it ends up being cheaper in the long run.

Also, if you own/work for a company, leasing is cheaper in a lot of cases (for tax purposes, like the user above said).

living in an area that gets a ton of snow, it's great leasing a car because you don't have to worry about its lifespan being cut in half by rust.

actually cars lose their value from the moment you take them off the lot, so buying one brand new is actually one of the dumbest things you can do as far as investments go

I'm a chemist, and wash my hands 30x a day, so no, they are not exactly soft. I bought my car (then paid off the loan in 8 months), i don't like avoidable debts.

I'm hoping to do that later this year when I trade my car. I've never had debt before, and it honestly just petrifies me, so I will avoid it as much as possible.

If you can get a 0% APR, take the full time to pay the loan, cause there is no interest on it. I didn't have that, so I paid the thing off in full as soon as feasible.

I could have bought it outright, but I wanted this purchase on my credit history

No I had my car paid already. I have to admit leasing a car is very dumb. Unless of course you get a new one every few years but even then I think it's just a huge waste of money idk

Actors/performers/people who are also a brand can write off their lease payments but for some reason can't write off loan payments as easily, idk. Someone explained it to me once and it made sense to me at the time. He also wrote off all his skincare/haircare which annoyed me because I can't.

So anyone who has worked at a bar....
I got kicked out of a bar for being drunk and obnoxious and they thought I stole something but I didnt. While they were figuring this out my friend got way too defensive and starting saying really inappropriate things to the bouncer as we walked away (like I'm pretty sure she yelled some fucked up shit). How long should I wait until I go back to this bar? I dont go there very often but I dont want to go back too soon and have it turn into a scene. I have been freaking out and I totally admit fault for even putting myself in this situation. What do you guys think?

IDK but i would be way to embarrassed to step foot in that bar for at least 6 months and would never go with that friend again.

I have been asked to leave a bar once and I was barely 21 and dumb I went out with my older brother and his friends so I was trying to impress them. I wasn't obnoxious I just fell off a stool and spilt my drink and could barely stand. I never went back.

what kind of bar was it? i think that would determine things. i worked in a bar across from a college campus and we dealt with that kind of stuff so often it was no big deal, and we often dealt with the same stuff from the same people. but if it's a more low key "everybody knows your name" kind of deal i'd give it a couple of weeks.
