Coming in the new year The Alexander Doll company will be producing a line of dolls based on the characters of Desperate Housewives. The dolls, measuring 16 inches in height, will be available at higher end doll retailers sometime in 2007. These dolls will debut in the Spring 2007 issue of Fashion Doll Quarterly.

Madame Alexander was an American entrepreneur who created the first "collectable" dolls based on a licensed character - Scarlett O'Hara from the book and movie Gone With the Wind. She also is credited with making the first mass-produced dolls in honor of living people, with a set of 36 Queen Elizabeth II dolls to commemorate the 1953 coronation celebrations in Britain. Most recently, in 2002 two Judy Garland portrait dolls were introduced. Other popular dolls have been 'Pussycat' a large baby doll dressed in fine coat and dress and a Mary Queen of Scots Portrait Doll as well as Heidi and a series international dolls in native costumes.
And before someone says "they don't look like them!" these dolls do not use unique sculpts exclusive to the actresses. They used previous sculpts from the company with facial features meant to look like them.

I just called with Skype and he was like "HALLO?"
hahahha
You can't turn it off unless you take the batteries out.
That thing is fucking creepy. It's still "breathing" after a month.
I didn't know it breathed, until I was on the couch last night by myself and I was like, wtf is that noise, and I looked over.
holy shit.
AHAHAHA
why would anyone want to buy a DH doll?
Huh?
Whatever, those dolls don't look like them.
My favorite was the Ice Queen from Narnia. I still love that doll! LOL
My mom was such a big collector than when she bought my sister and I barbie dolls, sometimes she would buy two and keep the 2nd in its box. I have a lot of collectors items now, which is pretty cool.
