Diddy's A Daddy (x 2): Kim Porter Gives Birth to Twin Girls





A source close to the family confirms exclusively to Essence that the stork made two deliveries to hip-hop impresario Sean "Diddy" Combs and his long-time girlfriend Kim Porter. Porter, 36, at Mt. Sinai in New York City. The couple reportedly delivered a healthy set of twin baby girls early Thursday morning, according to a source close to the couple.

One of the babies reportedly weighs 5 lbs. and the other weighs 5 lbs., 4 oz.

The couple's newly-expanded family already includes a son, Christian, as well as Porter's son, Quincy, from a previous relationship with singer Al B. Sure and Combs' son, Justin, from a previous relationship with stylist Misa Hylton-Brim.

judging by weight, they could be anywhere from 33 weeks to 37 weeks depending on any complications.

my daughter was born at 33 weeks and weighed 5lbs 6oz but she was also really long for her gestational age (20 inches).

That seems really tiny. My sister was born at like, seven pounds, and the doctor was nervous. Is this common with twins?

Most twins deliver early because of all the stress it puts on the body and they usually have lower birth weights in general. I have no idea why the doctor was nervous because your sister was 7lbs, that is a pretty normal weight, are you sure it wasn't due to something else? 5lbs is the minimum to take the baby home I believe, provided they are healthy otherwise, though anything under 5lbs 8oz is consiered to be low.

in some hospitals it is 6lbs. my kids were both preemies and had to hit 6lbs before going home.

It is. Twins are typically born three weeks earlier than regular babies, and for twins that's an okay size.

the official story is they broke up and he got with Jen, but most people believe that he and Jen were tipping around while he was with Kim and Jen was still married. Anyways, when he and Jen broke up he went back to Kim...who took him back because she's a doormat loving girlfriend.
